Burlington, VT resident Lance Llewellyn has been collecting pieces of Vermont history for over 50 years. He recently donated his lifelong collection to Champlain College. Housed in the school’s newly renovated Perry Hall, the Llewellyn Collection is an engaging look at the past.
PROJECT
This is the first of a series of videos dedicated to publicizing the collection.
TITLING
Since the collection is new to Champlain College, an identity was needed before moving forward with any marketing material or videos. We hired Champlain Alumni Tommy Shimko to create the identity. We then printed it onto a transparent sheet and attached it to one of the glass bookshelf doors to give it an organic 3D look.
‘Roly poly’, designed by the Design Incubation Centre at the National University of Singapore, are a pair of egg-like objects that mirror each other’s movements, even when physically separated. Two people thus can sense each other’s presence despite distances across the world: a tap of one half will create a simultaneous reaction in the other.
